Over the years, the ceiling of the once-grand Subway Terminal building at 417 South Hill St had deteriorated significantly due to neglect. Dating back to 1926, the historic plaster had suffered extensive water damage, resulting in loose and flaky paint that had mostly separated from the surface.
Kaptive C&P first restored the failed plaster by recreating the original moldings. We also stripped any remnants of old paint, before applying primer and fresh layers of interior paint to the entire ceiling and columns. We use Dunn Edwards, one of the most durable and environmentally friendly paints available on the market.
