Kerckhoff Hall is a central component of the historic core of the UCLA campus. Earthquake damage from the Northridge Quake had caused the dislocation of the gothic tower spires. The limestone restoration was coupled with a general upgrade of the building which included base isolation, even as the building was occupied. The already existing salvaged limestone had been poorly preserved in storage, so we had to engage in careful disassembly before cleaning, preparing the surface, and preassembly to verify placement in the final layout and elevations.
