Los Angeles, California, USA
The Los Angeles Dream Center had suffered severe water damage to the chapel ceiling. An ongoing roof leak was ruining the historic decorative art, causing the plasterwork to bubble and flake off in sections. Kaptive PaintWorks restored the plaster by removing the damaged areas, and using custom molds to recreate them, based on sound sections. We then reinstalled the replicated plaster, before retouching the decorative paint.
Formerly known as the Queen of Angels Hospital, the structure was built in 1926 before it reopened as the Dream Center in 1996. It now functions as a faith-based charitable organization, providing support and resources to the local community.
