Interior Painting for Chapman Court

Los Feliz neighborhood, Los Angeles County,
California, USA

Built in 1929 in the Spanish Revival Style, Chapman Court recently underwent a major restoration before re-emerging as a thriving Koreatown plaza. Kreative Paintworks did a full repaint of the interior, repairing plaster and patching drywall throughout the entire building. The center is home to Bobby Kennedy’s historic presidential campaign office, while the rest of the plaza is devoted to retail and office use.

At the main entrance of the building, we touched up the decorative paint on the red ceiling archway. The intricate pattern demanded a meticulous approach to ensure an accurate reproduction.

In addition to the interior work, we also painted the metal railings and exterior courtyard wall. We used exterior latex paint on the decorative precast concrete substrate, for a smooth, durable finish that’s resistant to fading, cracking, and peeling.
